Commissions

Foreword:

Thank you for your interest in commissioning me! My name is Mike (he/they) and I have created a multitude of unique aural experiences for clients such as Maximum Games, Inc., Cloudy Games, LLC. and Small Brain Games. With over 19 years of experience in the music industry, I strive to deliver cutting edge content within the realm of rhythm games and beyond. I can easily adapt to any genre or style and am comfortable working in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines.

Pricing:

Pricing is quantified as follows:

Commissions: $200 USD per minute. Half up front and the remainder upon completion. (i.e. $400 USD for ~2:00 in length) Average turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks. Commissions are non-exclusive unless the Client has specified otherwise. I retain 100% of the rights to the master recording(s). Client is free to use selected works for sync licensing purposes including advertising, streaming, pre-recorded content etc. I will be properly credited on social media platforms, news articles, websites etc.

Non-exclusive licensing: $400 USD flat rate. Must already be released in order to qualify. I may need to contact my label(s) about certain songs so please be patient and understand that an additional fee may apply. I retain 100% of the rights to the master recording(s). Client is free to use selected works for sync licensing purposes including advertising, streaming, pre-recorded content etc. I will be properly credited on social media platforms, news articles, websites etc.

Exclusive licensing: $400 USD per minute plus a $200 USD licensing surcharge. Half up front and the remainder upon completion. Open to negotiation. Client retains 100% of the rights to the master recording(s) and I will be properly credited on social media platforms, news articles, websites etc. All payments shall be processed via PayPal in USD (United States Dollar).

Deliverables:

The Client will receive a professionally mixed and mastered 44,100kHz 16bit WAV file. The Client may also receive a 320 kbps MP3 file upon request.

Conditions:

I reserve the right to deny a commission for any reason. Client understands that they are responsible for half of the payment up front and the remainder upon completion. In the event that the Client is unable to pay the full amount within thirty (30) business days, the invoice will be voided and the Client will relinquish all rights to the master recording(s). If the work(s) have not been put into production, the Client may request a refund in the full amount of the invoice.

Under no circumstances may the work(s) be used for the following:

  • The work(s) may NOT be distributed to streaming platforms without permission.
  • The work(s) may NOT be recorded to physical media without permission.
  • The work(s) may NOT be used in commercial projects unless discussed with the Client.
  • The work(s) may NOT be used for NSFW purposes (i.e. 18+ games)
  • The work(s) may NOT be used for the creation of NFTs or cryptocurrency related projects.
  • The work(s) may NOT be used for the purpose of AI training or any AI related content.
